In partnership with our client, a global leader in metals manufacturing, we are seeking experienced CapEx Buyer to support our client’s area manufacturing facility located near Mobile, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the procurement of capital equipment and other assigned materials and services. This is a long-term, consulting opportunity.

JOB DUTIES

• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Facilities to identify potential suppliers with the right qualifications to meet the company's expectations and timeline.
• Create RFQ's, review, analyze, and clarify quotations from suppliers and develop sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time, and technical considerations.
• Thoroughly negotiate favorable contracts including equipment pricing, tooling, professional services, spare parts, and payment terms.
• Maintain overall supplier relationship and act as point of contact for all commercial issues, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, availability, and cost status.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years of experience as CapEx Buyer required; 5 years of experience as CapEx Buyer preferred.
